ABOUT BIA

The BIA was established in 1965 by a group of neighborhood residents concerned with protecting and preserving the unique historic character of Belhaven, the neighborhood bounded by State Street on the west, I-55 on the east, Riverside Drive on the north, and Fortification Street on the south. 

BIA’s objectives remain much the same almost 40 years later, with more than 250 members led by a 15-person volunteer board of directors working hard to protect, preserve and improve our neighborhood. 

If you’re a neighborhood resident or someone who values our unique neighborhood, you may wish to receive periodic e-mail updates and other Neighborhood News that BIA sends from time  to time.

To be added to the e-mail list, send an e-mail to mcupples@bradleyarant.com with “add me to the BIA list” in the subject line or enter your email address in the box below and click the join button. BIA will not share your e-mail address or other information with anyone (other than the Greater Belhaven Neighborhood Foundation, the non-profit umbrella organization for Belhaven and Belhaven Heights), without your permission.
