Women Walking
Looking for a safe, indoor location for your regular walking exercise? Join Baptist for Women’s “Women Walking” program. Walk for 30 minutes at your own pace, rain or shine. A fitness professional will also be on hand to help you get the most benefit from your exercise. Parking is available in the Baptist for Women parking lot. Baptist Offers Free Cancer Rehab Classes
Baptist's Cancer Rehab Program is offered Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:00 p.m. every week at no cost in the Activity Room of the Hederman Cancer Center, 1227 North State Street, Jackson, Miss. To register, call the Baptist Health Line at 1-800-948-6262 or 601-948-6262. The class helps cancer patients enhance cardiovascular strength and endurance and immune system and bone density. It helps to increase overall strength and stamina, decrease fatigue, weight loss and improve digestion.
Baptist Holds Childbirth Classes
The Birthplace at Baptist provides the comfort and convenience of private Labor-Delivery-Recovery Rooms along with up-to-date technology and experienced nurses with training in fetal heart monitoring. Take advantage of some of the classes such as Childbirth, Breastfeeding, Natal Fit, Infant Care, Infant CPR, Sibling Adjustment, and Grandparenting Class. Power APAC News
March 6th 8-10am Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser for Dance Department at Up the Creek on Lakeland Dr. in the Dogwood Mall. The cost will be $5.00 per breakfast and all proceeds will go directly into the A-cubed dance fund.
All-Level Visual Arts Exhibit. The exhibit will be on display from Thursday, April 8th until Wednesday, May 5th, 2010. This is the second year that the Mississippi Arts Center will host our exhibit. Work from Power APAC will hang in the Atrium Gallery. This coincides with the Ask for More Arts display. This exhibit is free to the public.
