Bright Lights, Belhaven Nights 2009

The 5th annual Bright Lights, Belhaven Nights festival was Saturday, August 15th from 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm.  Over 3,000 festival goers from across the State and even some from out-of-state came to our "Small Town in a Big City" to enjoy a summer's evening celebrating everything that is good about the South, Mississippi and Jackson.  It was our biggest and best Bright Lights ever!

Attendees enjoyed:

• Artists, artisans or merchants who live or work in Greater Belhaven or who are vendors at Greater Belhaven Market showcasing and selling a variety of art and hand-crafted goods;
• Musicians and bands with ties to Greater Belhaven entertaining on 5 stages - each featuring it's own kind of music - Celtic, 'Newgrass,' Jazz, Rock and a Songwriter's stage;
• A variety of children's activities, including painting a permanent outdoor mural (in it's 3rd year!)on the wall at English Village, arts and crafts, space jumps, a clown, a climbing wall, and train rides;
• Food provided by Greater Belhaven restaurants.
