LOCATION: The Mississippi Farmers Market is located at 929 High Street, adjacent to the Fairgrounds. Market hours are Saturday’s from 8am to 2pm. (See Market Notes below for more information.) MARKET GRILL – The Market Grill is open this and every Saturday (weekdays, too!) serving breakfast beginning at 7am. Also hot plate lunches, best hamburger in town, po-boys, assorted other sandwiches and all the trimmings.

COMMUNITY CULTURE OPPORTUNITY - Live music has always been an important and popular element of our Market each week. Regular musicians all live in the Greater Belhaven Historic District and make their living primarily by performing locally and molding 'young' musicians by way of formal instruction. Guests enjoy shopping while listening to original blues tunes, bluegrass, strings, and folk medleys. You can help continue this tradition by making a CHARITABLE DONATION to the Greater Belhaven Neighborhood Foundation, designating your tax deductible gift to 'Market Music'. BOBKAT FARMS - Bob and Kathy will be at the Market this week and offering farm fresh eggs, pickled products and boiled peanuts.

RIC SHAFFER OF DOLLY FARMS will be back at the Market this week with Ric’s famous fresh cut spring flower bouquets!  Stop by early for fresh lettuces and spinach because he sells out every week.  He is preparing for his spring crops to arrive.

LIVINGSTON SPRINGS FARM will be on hand to share how to place orders for shares of free range and grass fed beef and lamb. Lisa will have a limited supply of fresh eggs from free range, pasture fedchickens. Their Belted Galloway Cattle and Katahdin Sheep are rotationally grazed on pastures throughout the year to ensure fresh nutritional grasses, which are free from herbicides and pesticides. TILLER BISCOTTI & COOKIE COMPANY - Larry is at it again. You will find cookies, biscotti, pies and brownies in his booth!

NO TIME 2 COOK is at the Market EVERY SATURDAY bringing their “deliciously convenient" frozen casseroles, soups, and desserts. New items this season include Red Velvet Cake (a February favorite), Chicken, Asparagus, & Orzo, and Mexican Rice Casserole full of corn, black beans, and tomatoes. FLOURS BY CHRIS will be at the Market this week with her delicious fresh baked specialties – a variety of breads, rolls and cakes. Christine is happy to take custom orders!

DELTA PECAN ORCHARD will be bringing pecans grown in the MS Delta along with gourmet pecans and candies cooked in their facility.  They will also be offering Pecan Oil, one of the most heart-healthy oils available, ideally suited for salad dressings or as a dipping oil for breads.

GIFTS FROM THE HIVE will be at the Market this week bringing local honey from their hives and an assortment of beeswax products. Stop by to see their beeswax candles, lotion bars, body cream and lip balm. Gift sets available, too.

DELTA GRIND will be at the Market this weekend.  Becky will be offering her fabulous Mississippi Stone Ground Yellow Grits, Corn Meal and Polenta.

HUMMUS QUEEN - Ms. Pattie is known for her hummus varieties. She will bring a smile to your face and hug around your neck. Her hummus is quite the treat but don’t forget about her other goodies, including pimento cheese, kumback dressing, pesto, trail mix energy sprinkles and vegan soups.  All her offerings are Gluten-Free!

MS BEES will be at the Market this week with their local honey and a wonderful selection of products using this sweet local delicacy.

RYALS’ GOAT CHEESE - Billy and Amber Carpenter come to the MS Farmers Market with her family’s highly coveted goat cheese varieties, milk and yogurt. New offering this year is goat meat. USDA inspected and packaged in a variety of cuts. Their goat dairy is located in Tylertown, MS and sells to many Jackson and New Orleans restaurants. MARY ANNE GALLE will be bringing pottery, plants, paintings, cards, bookmarks and assorted crafts that vary with the seasons. Each week Mary Anne designates an area in her space for art demos and hands-on participation for children and adults too. She enjoys promoting local farmers, artists and crafts people by encouraging the young folk to explore the items for sale at our Market.

ABBOTT JEWELRY - The Abbott family offers handmade earrings including Horse Charms, Fleur-de-Lis, necklaces, cell phone charms, Nintendo DS charms, wine glass charms and the ever popular bottle cap chokers for girls. They incorporate semi-precious stones such as jasper, turquoise, coral and mother of pearl. Hilda and her family would be happy to take your custom order to make something special just for you.

THE BIRDHOUSE MAN will be back Saturday with awesome bird houses of all types and sizes ready to be hung. These houses make great gifts with plenty of time to get them up to await the arrival of new baby birds this Spring.

SUZANNA MCMAHAN makes jewelry from many materials, specializing in wire and vintage objects. She is also well known for taking costume jewelry from an older generation and making it into contemporary jewelry for the current generation. MAGGIE’S NEIGHBORHOOD – A New Vendor – Carolyn will be offering her published books; two are children's books – ‘Maggie's Neighborhood’ and ‘Christmas in Maggie's Neighborhood’. Her third publication is a cook book for adults and children to encourage healthy, economical, simple recipes titled ‘Cooking With Maggie’. Maggie is a little tan Cocker Spaniel puppy and the books are written with interactive dialogue between Maggie and the reader. Beautifully illustrated for small children. Carolyn will all have illustrated bible verses, hand smocked Easter eggs, and photography of Belhaven Cottages. This week - specialty cupcakes, all YUMMY, from 'scratch', for any occasion or season. Orders may be placed at the market for large quantities or special orders.

NICE GLASS BY LIZZ - Unique & affordable, these hand-made glass pendants come in a variety of bright modern graphics. Great little gifts perfect for any occasion.

BABY JAN SMITH - Hats and more hats. Baby Jan brings her sewing machine right inside the Market and begins producing beautiful hats for Market patrons. Don’t be surprised if she breaks out her guitar and entertains the crowd.

HUNTER will be at the Market this week with a selection of goodies for your kitchen. Hunter’s chipotle oil is a fabulous addition to many of your favorite dishes. You can use as a substitute for olive oil. Coming soon, some of Domini’s tasty mustards in a variety of flavors.

COOK’S BASKETS - Mr. and Mrs. Cook have recently won two blue ribbons for their Pine Needle Baskets. Watch as Mr. Cook weaves the foliage of our states most recognizable tree into beautiful pieces of art.

CLAUDE JONES - Known for his pickled squash, Claude and family work tirelessly to provide an assortment of jams, jellies, cakes, pies, cookies, breads, pickles and more. He takes special orders too!

HEAVENLY DESIGN BY ROZ plans to be there this Saturday and will be bringing small original art. Paintings in acrylic, watercolor, along with new and colorful designs. Come and See!

PAPAW’S WOODWORKS will be back at the Market with his cedar creations (some with state university themes) and whimsical birdhouses.

CORRIS MATTHEWS will be back this year and will be offering an economical alternative to commercial soaps. Corris soap is an affordable all natural vegan soap for family use. Visit his website at http://www.corrissoap.com.

DREAM OUT LOUD ART will be back at the Market this week.  Tom and Dianne will be offering a variety of colorful paintings and ceramics.  Offerings include a wide variety of pieces, including chair art, custom frames and metal work.  Mediums include acrylic and watercolor.  Now sharing space with Cathy Parisi.

CATHY PARISI will be back this week with a fun selection her artwork.  This talented artist produces a wide variety of pieces, including chair art, custom frames and metal work.  Mediums include acrylic and watercolor.  Now sharing space with Dream Out Loud Art.

PHYLLIS HURLEY will be back and offering beautiful artwork and shea butter along with their other crafts to help Ugandan women. This week she will be featuring Kikuyu bags, the ultimate pickpocket-proof bag. She also sells jewelry made from magazine pages, baskets, caftans, cloth dolls, Noah's arks and animals, and bongo drums.

DORIS HAYES - This lovely little lady will be offering a selection of her handcrafted jewelry.  Each piece made with love and care by this talented jeweler.

CLEO ROGERS will be on hand this week with her famous caramel cakes, pies, cupcakes and her unique salsa. Stop by for a chat with Cleo – she loves to share samples of her delicious baked goods and salsa!

CHARLES SMITH - Local Artist. Charles will put a smile on your face as he excitedly tells you about his paintings. Each one is personal and has a story behind it.

WANDA MONK will be back at the Market and offering her pastel, acrylic and watercolor art work.  Stop by and see her colorful offerings.
